WHAKAMANA HIA TE TANGATA HEI ORANGA WHANAU

Our Mission

Tuuranga Charitable Trust stands as a deeply committed organization dedicated to the health and well-being of Tangata Whaikaha—people with intellectual, physical, and mental health disabilities.

Guided by the values of Aroha, Pono, Manaakitanga, and Whakawhanaungatanga, our trust emphasises compassionate, holistic, and culturally respectful support for individuals and their whānau.

With a high standard of care, our team comprises over 30 Kaimahi with proven experience, holding at least a Level 4 Health and Well-being qualification. They deliver individualised support for no more than four clients at a time, allowing them to focus on quality care through a person-centred approach.

Tuuranga Charitable Trust ensures that every Kaimahi is matched thoughtfully with clients to best serve their unique needs.

Our commitment to inclusivity is clear—supporting people from all backgrounds, abilities, and identities without discrimination. Our services span a range of essential areas, including personal care, home management, respite care, and supported living accommodations, ensuring that these services come at no personal cost to those in need.

We also offer extensive support in managing health, financial, and domestic needs for those transitioning into semi-independent living. In addition, your team is committed to maintaining hygienic, organised homes, emphasising that a clean home is a safe home.

For respite care, Tuuranga Charitable Trust has five welcoming homes across multiple locations, catering to both children and adults and staffed to meet complex needs on a 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 support basis. Your approach to support embodies Te Tiriti o Waitangi's principles of Partnership, Protection, and Participation, affirming your dedication to providing high-quality, accessible, and culturally aligned care.

Your work reflects a deep understanding and commitment to the well-being of the community, creating a nurturing environment that encourages healthier, more independent living.
